I absolutely love JavaScript and if you were aware of that already, you know me better than most other people in my life. That fact also keeps getting in the way of me writing to-the-point articles, like this one right now. It is the only language my mind speaks when left alone. I spend all my free time with it building cool UI designs that nearly never meet the public eye, and flashy projects to use when I’m finally out of things to talk about. Today is the day, that changes… a little bit…

Roman Numerals

A few months ago, I had posted two videos about Roman Numerals.

In the first one, titled Roman Numerals, I spoke about the Roman Numeral system itself. I started with numerical face values and how the numbers were supposed to be written down. The numbers are inherently additive. However, we’ve often seen the subtractive forms of the same numbers and I’ve talked about that at length. Plus, I’ve also discussed addition and subtraction, both in the additive and subtractive forms of the operands.

Why the factorial of 0 is 1

The factorial of a number is the total number of ways in which a set of that many objects can be arranged. See, wasn’t that simple? Let’s try and understand what exactly it’s supposed to mean with the help of mathematics.

First, we’ll have to set some rules (guidelines for how we’re to go about it) because keeping it vague allows a lot of room for misinterpretation. Besides, the beauty of mathematics lies in its precision.
